Two fabled basketball programs meet in Chapel Hill on Tuesday when Roy Williams and the No. 1 North Carolina Tar Heels (1-0) host Billy Gillispie’s Kentucky Wildcats (0-1).

Mother Nature ruled in the end as a messy 2008 MLB season came to a close with the Philadelphia Phillies topping the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series.  But that was last season and next season starts now.

The Big 12 South will rule this season on the hardwood just like it has dominated the Big 12 North so far on the gridiron. Oklahoma and Texas should emerge as the top two squads, with Baylor continuing their amazing turnaround while Kansas rebuilds off an NCAA Championship.

After sitting out a long rain delay before last night's Game 3 of the 2008 World Series, the Phillies rallied in the ninth for a 5-4 win and 2-1 lead in the Series.  Chase Utley and Philadelphia look to go up 3-1 tonight.

A lot of attention will be paid to starting pitchers and home run hitters in this year's 104th World Series.  But when the Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays meet, their bullpens will play a major role.
